Every Day is Full of Learning & Adventure

Year 'round, the exuberant chatter of school children fills the Wolf Ridge campus. Most come for stays of 3 to 5 days full of learning, living, and growing together. Our accredited classes and activities are often cited as a highlight of participant's school memories. (Day trips also available.)

A Typical Day

7:30 - breakfast
8:30 - morning class
11:30 - group time
noon - lunch
1:15 - afternoon class
4:15 - group time/store option
5:00 - dinner
6:15 - evening activity
8:00 - naturalist presentation or campfire
9:00 astronomy (optional)

Group Size

We can accommodate groups of 15 - 360. Groups over 20 will be divided into separate teaching groups with a maximum of 20 per class. Available dates.

Our Staff

Once you arrive, your group will have your own liaison, a staff member who will host your group for the entirety of your stay with us.

Our teaching staff of 30 includes many with advanced degrees, certified teachers, and graduate students currently pursuing their Masters of Education. Our Naturalist Training programs are nationally recognized for their excellence, as is our permanent teaching staff.

Meals

Meals are served cafeteria style in our dining hall. Each participant gets a chance to contribute to the community by helping to serve a meal and clean up afterward.

Lodging

Your group will stay in one of our two dorms and will be assigned a group meeting area as well.

Cost

The per person cost starts at $115 for a three- day stay and $191 for a five-day stay. Per person cost can be reduced for schools participating in Minnesota's Free and Reduced Lunch program. See cost table. Minnesota residents, the instructional portion of the cost can be applied to MN State Educational Tax Credits or Deductions.

We are glad to partner with a variety organizations who are interested in helping your group attend Wolf Ridge. See our current list of grantors.

In addition, many schools fundrais to help students pay for their Wolf Ridge trip. Wolf Ridge calendars are one popular possibility.

Getting Started . . .

This brief pdf document describes the scheduling process. We are happy to provide your school with assistance in preparing for your trip, such as; attend a parent meeting, help you with class choices, conduct training for adult chaperones or evening activity leaders, or by answering general questions about how to prepare for your visit.
