Explore the ecology and diversity of Minnesota’s many lakes and rivers, participate in research with biologists and kayak on Lake Superior. Campers will leave the week more confident in their naturalist and research skills. 2-week In-Camp/Apostle Islands Sea KayakIsle Royale National Park is the theme for this session. Campers will explore the natural and cultural history of the island before heading there for a 6 day backpacking adventure. Theme-Based Program Varies Year-to-YearThe Junior Naturalist program is one of our most popular programs. Building on outdoor science knowledge and skills, the campers investigate some aspect of the natural world in depth. Themes for these weeks are chosen and developed by experts in natural history and ecology, and are usually determined by late spring.
