Summer Family Vacation
Imagine a vacation where you and your children meet new friends, learn and grow together, spend time outdoors and share new experiences in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Outdoor Family Adventures
Activities take place outside and are engaging for people of all ages. All instructors are experienced teachers and naturalists. Possible activities include:
- adventure ropes
- rock climbing
- orienteering
- Ojibwe heritage
- voyageur life
- kayaking
- astronomy
- block printing
- canoeing
- games
- family picnic at Lake Superior
- campfire
- family folk dance
A Mix of Family and Age-based Activities
- Afternoons are spent with family group activities
- Separate adult and child classes take place in the morning
- Explorers, 3-6 years old, spend mornings with a naturalist who has both experience and a great love of working with young children
- Older children spend time with a Wolf Ridge naturalist exploring and learning about the natural world
- Adults can spend a quiet morning relaxing or participating in natural history classes of their own
Housing and Meals
Your family will be housed in a private room in our family-friendly East Dorm. Each room has a private shower and bunk beds. We will provide an open day room for games and relaxation, a nightly snack, linens, and meals in our cafeteria-style dining hall.
