Using the Posters
(24 x 48 inches each)
Each participating school will receive one Fall and one Spring Happenings 24 x 48 inch poster.
Use the Spring/Fall Happenings posters to:
- Act as a daily reminder of the Spring/Fall Happenings project. Kids will see the poster each day and be reminded to keep their eyes and hears open for the Fall Happening events at school and at home.
- Record your events. When a student reports the first sighting of an event, such as the first robin or sugar maple tree without leaves, have them write the date in the blank on the poster.
- Watch events progress across the mid-west. As you check the website, have students put a mark on the map for each school that has already witnessed a particular event. You should see a seasonal progression on the maps. Some events will move very quickly, others may move slowly.
