The events are arranged on the poster in the approximate order they appear each spring in Minnesota. You can also use this list as a rough guideline. Dates can vary widely due to storms, weather trends, cloudy vs. sunny days, and winter conditions proceeding the spring.
In Minnesota, spring generally moves north 15 miles a day, according to some folks. That would translate into about three weeks north to south. Of course, there will be much variation! Keep in mind that robins arrived in Carver County anywhere from February 28 March 26! Help your students become aware of upcoming events about a week in advance when possible.
