What Happens When?
a general idea of when to watch for each fall event

The events are arranged on the poster in the approximate order they appear each spring in Minnesota. You can also use this list as a rough guideline. Dates can vary widely due to storms, weather trends, cloudy vs. sunny days, and summer conditions proceeding the fall.

In Minnesota, fall generally moves south 15 miles a day, according to some folks. That would translate into about three weeks north to south. Of course, there will be much variation!

Remind your students to watch for upcoming events a week or two in advance when possible.
